How do I find exercises for a muscle group?

Open Performance Finder and select a muscle on the diagram. You'll see exercises that use it in a primary or supporting role, with images and equipment filters. These labels describe muscle involvement, not measured activation or a prescribed workload. Use My training to arrange exercises into a week.

How do I build a training week and download a workout PDF?

Choose exercises and training days in My training, then download a PDF for the gym. Sets, reps and rest are left blank for you to fill in. A guest plan lasts for this visit. Create a private six-digit client number or sign in with your existing number to save it after confirmation.

Can I pay for coaching or book a session on the site?

Online checkout is currently closed. You can compare services and prices and build a cart, but adding an item does not charge you or reserve a session. Intro and program question forms prepare unsent drafts. Session times need separate confirmation from Dru Fitness.

Does saving my preferred training time book a session?

No. Saving a preferred day or time records your preference in your client account. You can include it in a request draft, but your session is booked only after Dru Fitness confirms it.

Will my plan and workout log be there next time?

Guest plans and logs last for this visit. Create a private client number or sign in with an existing number, then wait for the save confirmation before leaving. Your own plan and log stay separate from coach-assigned workouts and their history. Keep your number private.

What do the training suggestion tools do?

The intro helper matches your description to the goal and experience choices shown on the form. In My training, Create me a workout suggests existing exercises for the muscles, days and equipment you describe. Review suggestions before adding them. They do not set your training workload or send a request.

How often should I train when I'm starting out?

For healthy adults, ACSM recommends training all major muscle groups at least two days per week and building gradually. Choose days you can keep doing. That general guidance is separate from Dru Fitness coaching packages, which include up to three one-hour sessions per week.

Is building strength the same as building muscle?

They overlap, but the emphasis differs. Heavier loads tend to improve maximal strength more, while weekly training volume matters for muscle growth. Muscle can grow with lighter or heavier loads when the training is challenging. Choose your workload around your goal and current ability.

Do I need a gym full of equipment to make progress?

Free weights, machines, bands and bodyweight exercises can all support resistance training. Equipment choice depends on what you have, what you can perform and your goal. Performance Finder lets you browse the site's exercise catalog by equipment and muscle involvement.

Should I train my whole body or use a split routine?

Research finds similar strength and muscle gains from full-body and split routines when weekly training volume is matched. Choose the arrangement that fits your available days and recovery. My training lets you organize either approach; choosing a split alone does not determine sets, effort or progression.

How do I know when to make a workout harder?

Track the weights, repetitions and sets you complete. As your current workload becomes more manageable, gradually increase the demand while keeping control of the movement. A workout log makes those changes easier to follow. Progression can be simple; a complicated training cycle is not required.

Do I need to reach failure on every set?

No. Research does not show that reaching complete muscular failure is required for muscle growth. Sets still need meaningful effort, and stopping short of failure can be effective. The best stopping point depends on the exercise, load and your experience; there is no single ideal number of repetitions left for everyone.

How long should I rest between sets?

Rest enough to perform the next set with control and the effort you intend. A review of muscle-growth studies suggests a small benefit from resting longer than a minute compared with shorter rests. It does not establish one ideal interval for every exercise or strength goal.

Do I need protein powder to build muscle?

Protein powder is an optional way to add dietary protein. Your total intake matters more than using a particular product. Research finds that added protein can support muscle gains alongside resistance training, but more is not always better. Dru Fitness lists written fitness consultations and supplement audits in Services.
